Blue Owl is seeking a Compensation and People Analytics professional with experience scaling compensation and HR data management initiatives across mid-to-large sized organizations. This position will 1) serve as HR’s Compensation subject-matter-expert, partnering with Finance’s Compensation Accounting and Carried Interest Accounting teams and 2) be responsible for HR data governance, quality and developing and scaling analytical capabilities to support HR’s mission-critical priorities and ambitious growth objectives.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- HR Compensation Program Manager and Strategic Partner:
- As part of the Human Resources team, serve as the primary conduit between Finance’s Compensation Accounting team to ensure all related processes are well managed/coordinated.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to HR and Finance leadership.
- Be a key participant in the annual workforce planning process, ensuring titles and compensation are accurately benchmarked internally and externally
- Advise HRBPs and Talent Acquisition during the hiring process to ensure job offers are well constructed, competitive and in line with firmwide guidelines
- Work with HRBPs, Compensation Accounting and Internal Comms on comms strategy related to year-end process or other compensation program rollouts/changes
- Partner with HRIS team and Compensation Accounting team to ensure Compensation-related requirements are appropriately configured and managed in Workday, or other systems as needed
- Lead Compensation-related projects such as building and maintaining job hierarchies, firm-wide pay grids, etc.
- Compensation Benchmarking & Market Awareness:
- Conduct internal and external compensation benchmarking.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders for accurate job matching.
- Act as the central contact for external survey companies, coordinating submissions and sharing results effectively.
- Stay updated and impart knowledge internally on industry trends; attend industry conferences and meetings, as agreed.
- Monitor market trends, pay regulation changes, and competitor activities.
- Conduct research to ensure competitive compensation offerings.
- Collaborate with HR on compensation policies, pay regulations, market trends, and best practices.
- HR data governance, reporting and analytics
- Develop and implement innovative and scalable analytics and reporting capabilities to deliver actionable insights, addressing both current and future state needs to align with HR priorities.
- Oversee completion of all HR data reporting requests including, but not limited to, Due Diligence Questionnaires and Requests for Proposals.
- Develop the HR team’s data analytics capabilities to foster self-sufficiency while maintaining oversight to ensure reporting quality, accuracy and alignment with HR objectives.
- Leverage Workday and other HR systems to extract and analyze data on workforce trends, employee engagement, and lifecycle survey results. collect, analyze and interpret HR data to deliver actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Continuously define, enhance and uphold HR's data governance practices to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
- Make recommendations for analyses, policies and activities to improve organizational efficiency and culture.
- Transform data into compelling visualizations using PowerPoint, (or other data visualization tools) creating impactful visuals and crafting meaningful narratives to effectively communicate insights
- Maintain and improve our suite of reflective and real-time visual dashboards to display key Human Resources and workforce metrics utilizing Workday and other analytical tools, i.e., Tableau or similar applications
Experience Required
- BA/BS in a quantitative analytical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics) or Business Administration or related field preferred;
- 7-12 years Compensation experience, preferably within financial services industry and experience in asset management a plus. Experience in 1500+ sized organizations strongly preferred;
- 2-3 years of experience in HR Data Management, Analytics & Reporting strongly preferred. Experience with statistical methods such as predictive analytics and regression analysis preferred;
- Proficiency in storytelling with data to influence senior-level clients and drive change;
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other analytical tools such as Tableau;
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and/or Compensation platform(s) required;
- You are a highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills and are detail oriented.

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $185,000 to $235,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
