A day in the life
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Prologis Energy Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in Denver. Your key responsibilities will include financial modeling, workforce planning, variance analysis, process optimization, and stakeholder management. This presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our dynamic organization in the renewable energy industry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead FP&A modeling efforts for Prologis Energy by maintaining and optimizing Global Energy Financial Model with new functionality as business and forecasting needs grow.
- Assist business partners in developing their annual budgets, analyzing results, and updating the monthly rolling forecast to precisely capture the timing of various P&L items.
- Design comprehensive reporting packages and conduct monthly reviews with business partners to facilitate variance analysis and updates to monthly rolling forecast.
- Compile assumptions and financial data for the Global Energy Financial Model through collaboration with Energy Development, Energy Execution, Accounting, and Asset Management.
- Conduct variance analysis of financial results against budgets, forecasts, and actuals, identifying key drivers and effectively communicating insights to stakeholders.
- Compile materials for senior management and the company executives, encompassing presentations, reports, and efficiency metrics.
- Acquire proficiency in the company's FP&A software tools and contribute recommendations for continuous improvement of existing models and processes.
- Manage the quarterly update process of the materials used for the business plans and earnings call preparation to ensure materials are updated timely with accurate data.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, public accounting or other corporate finance-related roles, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial analysis and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, showcasing advanced skills in Excel.
- Enthusiasm for problem-solving and the ability to think critically and independently, even in situations with limited direction and ambiguity.
- Proactively driven and self-motivated, showcasing a track record of taking initiative, leading process improvements, and adeptly solving complex problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities effectively, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, providing a strong foundation for financial data interpretation and analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling the effective communication of financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Prior experience with Planful software or Sigma is not required, but the willingness to learn and use these tools is essential.
Hiring Salary Range of: $95,000-$131,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
