Overview
Adams Street Partners is seeking an Operations Associate – to join the Private Credit Middle Office team. The role will be based in the Adams Street Partners office in New York. The role will report to the Head of Middle Office for Private Credit.
Responsibilities
The job responsibilities of this role include:
- Manage the Private Credit deal closing process for new platforms and amendments, attend investment committee meetings, and work closely with the Investment Team to understand the deliverables required ahead of each deal closing.
- Prepare fund level allocations for new investments across the Adams Street Private Credit platform, and coordinate with the Investment Team and Portfolio Finance to optimize allocations across all of the portfolios.
- Coordination of the deal closing process with other groups across the organization: Investment Team, Legal, Accounting, Technology, etc., as well as with external parties such as borrowers, lenders, deal sponsors, and agents, in order to execute deal fundings in a timely manner.
- Create the deal closing flow of funds for new platforms, process DDTL and Revolver draw requests, coordinate with our sub agent on deals where Adams Street is named agent, review all agent produced loan notices for accuracy, set up new wire templates, enter outgoing wires in our treasury management system, monitor wire status and troubleshoot any funding issues, and prepare and distribute the final loan closing package.
- Responsible for booking new deals, amendments, upsizes, etc. in our portfolio management system, and ensure timely delivery of trade files and deal documents to our fund administrator.
- Resolve discrepancies on daily cash, position, and loan attribute reconciliation reports with fund administrators, loan agents, and counterparties, to ensure our books and records are in good order each day.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for Adams Street managed CLOs and ABLs, and other ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Manage all communications with our sub-agent, external loan agents, borrowers, lenders, and third-party administrators in response to inquiries about specific private credit investments.
- Provide daily support to the Investment Team and other groups across the organization.
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking an individual who has the following qualifications:
- College graduate, ideally with a degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in loan operations
- Private Credit, BSL, and/or Loan Agency experience preferred
- Prior experience reviewing loan credit agreements, and ability to navigate and extract data
- Prior experience with various types of loan facilities, including DDTLs and Revolvers
- Prior experience with investment related applications preferred (Investran, Allvue, HazelTree, ClearPar, etc)
- Proficient in use of Microsoft applications with advanced experience in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Ability to prioritize and independently execute assigned projects
- Ability to work independently and as a dedicated team-member
- Maintain accuracy and quality when working within tight deadlines
- Strong quantitative, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- High degree of professionalism by exercising discretion, judgement, and honoring confidentiality
NYC Pay Range
$95,000—$115,000 USD
