Job Summary
Prime Finance is looking for a collaborative, motivated, and forward-thinking Senior Analyst to join the growing Reporting Analytics team based in San Francisco. This individual should possess an accounting or finance background as well as a self-starter mentality. At minimum, five years of experience in a previous accounting or finance role is required; experience with private equity fund accounting, data gathering and reporting is preferred.
The position will support the greater Investor Relations, Compliance, Accounting, Treasury, Business Technology, Capital Markets, and Asset Management functions by preparing recurring and ad-hoc reporting. This includes reporting and data gathering of firm-wide investment and fund-related information. The position will work cross-functionally, building relationships with team members from other departments, external advisors, and members of the management team.
Essential Functions:
- Support Investor Relationships Fundraising and Operations teams by providing timely, accurate data in response to investor quarterly and ad-hoc requests
- Consolidate various data sets and corresponding analysis as supporting documentation for various fund marketing materials
- Review final versions of marketing materials to ensure fund performance data sets and corresponding analysis are accurately reflected
- Review and update footnotes in marketing materials ensuring notes are current and capturing any new relevant facts from prior quarter
- Review investment teams’ quarterly asset summary reports ensuring all data is supported by data contained in final investment committee memos
- Consolidate various data sets and corresponding analysis of investment-related or advisor-related performance data for use in quarterly investor reports, SEC reporting, or information requests
- Prepare fund and investor cash flow projections using analysis of past and current trends, working with other teams as necessary
- Source and map existing excel reports to aid in automation efforts
- Prepare financial and other information related to current or historical fund performance, including Net Asset Value (NAV) estimates, waterfall calculation of equity investments, and CLO issuance support for Asset Management and Capital Markets teams as well as quarterly capital balance estimates for current or prospective investors
- Prepare and consolidate data sets and consolidate corresponding analysis in accordance with repeat investor request calendar to ensure proactive, efficient, and timely fulfilling of such requests
- Act as point of contact for internal and external requests or questions for fund-related financial data and analysis
- Gather, review, and finalize reports in response to requests from senior management regarding the current or previously-exited investment portfolio
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improved accuracy and efficiency; support the implementation of corresponding improved processes aimed at obtaining, creating, and delivering value-added reporting to internal and external recipients
- Stay up to date in latest technologies and reporting standards, attending relevant trainings and conferences as necessary
- Foster strong relationships between the Reporting Analytics function and various other functions, ensuring efficient workflows and positive departmental feedback
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or commensurate work experience required
- 5+ years of related accounting or finance experience in an investment fund setting preferred
- Understanding of real estate investments and fund structures is preferred
- Experience drafting financial footnotes and disclosures
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with a strong background in MS Excel required (pivot tables, sumifs, index/match, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Copilot is preferred
- Experience using Yardi or other accounting GL and Financial Reporting systems preferred
- Experience with industry reporting standards, such as NCREIF, PREA and ILPA, preferred
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexible and able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of our investors', partners', and internal affairs
- Exceptional communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Team-oriented and able to share information, goals, opportunities, successes and failures with appropriate parties
The expected salary for this role is $98,500 - $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined by several components, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills and qualifications, base salary of internal peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a variety of financial, wellbeing, and health / welfare benefits.
