The Data Quality Analyst Sr. Associate (DQA) will be a member of the Data Operations and Controls team and contribute to Hightower’s system of record data-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data quality and the role it plays in the data lifecycle. The Data Quality Analyst must have extensive data analysis, query development, data normalization, and development skills. To achieve success, actively engage and collaborate effectively with data engineering, data analysts, data governance, and your peer team members.
What You’ll Do

- Data Quality Analysis:
- Develop queries and analyze results to determine potential anomalous data
- Define, monitor and report on data quality metrics
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
- Analize large volumes of data for pattern identification and derive data quality rules
- Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues
- Validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across different systems and applications
- Work closely with data operations and controls team, business analyst and data engineering to understand requirements
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Collaborate in the creation of repeatable processes and continuous improvements
- Data Quality Remediation:
- Lead data quality investigations to analyze symptoms and determine business impact
- Perform root cause analysis to determine source of issue and participate in remediation
- Establish ongoing data monitoring to ensure issue recurrence is quickly identified
- Team Player:
- High level of competency in both speech and writing
- Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Share suggestions to continuously improve data quality methodology
- Technology partnership
- Participate in the creation of data quality standards and data quality tool implementation
- Work with data warehouse team to ensure efficient data integration across various systems and platforms
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to optimize data-related tools and services
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data quality and data analysis
- Meticulousness, critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- A functional knowledge of logical and physical metadata
- Proficiency in data management tools (Collibra, Atacama, Informatica…), databases, and relevant technologies
- Strong SQL development skills and Excel skills
- Tableau or Power BI development skills
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, data architecture, data analytics, and data security practices
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks
What We Offer

- Base salary of $105,000 - $115,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience)
