We’re seeking a future team member for the role Senior Equities Strategist on our Global Markets Trading team. This role is located in New York, NY - HYBRID
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide impactful Equity insights and data interpretations to both clients and internal stakeholders
- Use subject matter expertise, experience and thought leadership to influence and direct key stakeholders, senior leaders and clients
- Manage, review and parse data on internal platforms to guide clients on overall strategy
- Consult with clients on their portfolio health including liquidity and volatility metrics
- Identify opportunities to present and advise on other products within the business
- Prepare and deliver reports as needed by clients and the business
- Lead in delivery of data-driven recommendations to both clients and the business
- Ensure client satisfaction with the highest standard of care and responsiveness
- Perform in-depth equity strategy research and maintain an understanding of the market environment, including short- and long-term trends, competitor offerings, regulatory developments etc.
- Liaise and leverage internal resources as needed to maximize client delivery
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 10+ years of client facing or client coverage team experience, preferably in sell-side economics or Equity strategy roles
- Ability to use large datasets to glean equity insights
- Strong presentation skills and client interaction experience
- Good writing skills required for Strategist’s content pieces
- Deep understanding and experience with market dynamics in equities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas concisely.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
