William Blair Private Wealth Management is seeking a Senior Wealth Planner I to provide support in developing and implementing sophisticated financial strategies for high-net-worth clients. You will work closely with senior team members and contribute to the delivery of exceptional client service and strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities Include But May Not Be Limited To
- Collaborate with senior wealth strategists to develop and implement comprehensive financial plans for clients.
- Prepare, review, and analyze detailed financial analyses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity. Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Conduct in-depth analyses and modeling to evaluate various scenarios, risks, and opportunities. Develop projections and recommendations based on comprehensive data analysis.
- Generate and maintain client documentation, including financial plans, presentations, and summaries, ensuring that all materials are precise and professionally presented.
- Work closely with William Blair Wealth Advisors, clients and their outside advisors to integrate financial strategies and solutions. Ensure that all aspects of the financial plan are cohesive and aligned with clients’ goals.
- Act as a leading team member for complex client projects, including the coordination of resources and the delivery of high-quality outputs within established timelines.
- Utilize advanced financial planning software and tools to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of financial plans and reporting. Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technologies.
- Engage with clients to present financial plans and analyses, addressing their questions and providing expert guidance on financial decisions.
- Ownership and participation in select marketing initiatives that will be distributed both internally and externally
- Act as a mentor to less experienced team members.
- Additional responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, CFP or CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning required.
- SIE exam and Series 7, 66 will need to be completed within 120 days
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple requests
- Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts, terminology, products, and applicable regulations
- Advanced ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Strongly client service oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong experience utilizing Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of standard industry wealth planning software tools (eMoney, MoneyGuide Pro, etc.)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.
This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.

Salary Range
$83,500—$120,000 USD
