The Impact You Will Have In This Role
Being a member of the Operation Risk Management, ORM team, the Third Party Risk Senior Manager establishes protocols for analyzing, reporting, advancing, and mitigating operational risks. Ops Risk works with the business unit management and support functions to help them manage their operational risk exposures. Third Party Risk (TPR) establishes the Third Party Risk Management framework for the organization. TPR identifies, assesses and mitigates the risks that Third Parties pose to the organization through risk assessments, due diligence reviews, and implementation of ongoing monitoring requirements for Critical and High-rated Third Parties.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversee risk management activities to meet team, department, and company goals. Take the lead on regulatory requests, exams and audits. Accountable for action plans from audits and exams.
- Partner with control functions to ensure standardization of Third Party Risk management policies, procedures and contractual requirements. Where appropriate, uses technical subject matter expertise to implement process improvements.
- Provide guidance, training and support on Third Party Risk policies, practices and procedures for staff and impacted team members at all levels of the organization.
- Oversees team performance, develops and coaches direct reports and the team. Responsible for talent management and performance development. Provide ongoing feedback and opportunities to learn.
- Act as a strategic advisor for risk initiatives. Prioritize team's book of work, focusing on high-value, critical projects that align to the overall strategic risk management goals across the enterprise. Proactively mitigate roadblocks.
- Ensure performance against departmental benchmarks. Ability to establish metrics and reporting for audiences at all levels of the organization, including but not limited to the Management Risk Committee and the Board Risk Committee.
- Develop and recommend strategies and tactical approaches that streamline activities and increase efficiency to eliminate bottlenecks. Perform gap analysis of processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and account for emerging risks.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners and risk control functions. Lead discussions with internal and external partners to plan and complete process enhancements. Participate in working group meetings, as necessary.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, lead meetings and provide thought leadership. Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Our Risk Management teams work to protect the safety and soundness of our systems and are responsible for identifying, managing, measuring and mitigating a spectrum of key risk types including credit, market, liquidity, systemic, operational and technology in all existing and new products, activities, processes and systems.
