This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).
OVERVIEW:
The primary function of the Officer, Private Equity Fund Accountant is to be a key contributor on the Alternative Investment Services team supporting the timely administration and reporting of private equity holdings held across client accounts and Glenmede Funds. The position will primarily involve the operational oversight of private equity fund holdings, which includes managing capital activities, overseeing quarterly financial reporting, coordinating annual audits, and ensuring compliance with tax deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Private Equity Administration. Liaise with external administrator and review quarterly financial packages. Pricing of private equity holdings using external partner capital statements and year-end audited financial statements. Facilitate the processing of transaction activity including reconciliation of all private equity activity across Glenmede systems.
Audit & Tax Preparation of Glenmede Private Equity Funds. Facilitate timely completion of year-end audit and tax preparation for Glenmede Private Investment Funds. Coordinate requests from external auditors and tax teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Partner with internal teams to complete OCC and SOC 1 audit requests relating to Private Equity investments held in Glenmede client accounts.
Client Services. Facilitate client onboarding of private investments by communicating with external managers. Respond promptly to private equity-related inquiries and requests for reporting deliverables from Glenmede relationship managers to support clients.
Firm Building and Initiatives. Lead and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the timeliness and accuracy of private equity data across accounts and systems. Active engagement in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives in order to expand capabilities, create solutions to unmet business needs, improve client experience, or develop more efficient processes. Ability and willingness to contribute to the advancement of team, office, and business capabilities. Other duties as required by the position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4+ years of experience in financial services supporting administration of Private Equity investments
- Experience supporting annual audit and tax engagements
- Deep knowledge of private equity fund accounting, valuation, and administration processes
- Strong interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA a plus
- Experience using private equity investment systems
- Experience with private investment data aggregation software, including Arch, Canoe, and PCR, among others
