Job Description
The Production Support Specialist utilizes knowledge of mutual fund accounting to provide product support for Linedata Mfact, a Mutual Fund Accounting solution, and Linedata NavQuest, a NAV oversight and Validation solution.
The Production Support Specialist is the first line of support for our clients and will provide a broad range of technical and business support services to Mfact and NavQuest customers via the web, e-mail and phone. Support issues involve both business and technical related issues and the Production Support Specialist will be expected to work and communicate effectively with both business and technical resources. The ideal candidate needs to be able to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and effectively communicate and escalate issues to client and Linedata employees.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Leverage fund accounting experience to research, troubleshoot and resolve customer fund accounting issues
- Identify accounting workarounds for software bugs and customer issues whenever possible
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to customers within defined Service Level Agreement
- Properly prioritize all customer incidents
- Understand and use the online support tools
- Report software issues to Product Development via documented processes and procedures, including replicating the issue when possible and performing all due diligence
- Manage multiple customer issues simultaneously
- Identify common issues and techniques for addition to Knowledge Base
- Track and complete complex tasks related to client upgrade and implementation projects
- Provide on-site and online system training to clients
Job Requirement
- Candidates must be ambitious, self-driven, and looking to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields or relevant experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in mutual fund accounting or hedge fund accounting
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with SQL is a plus
- Must be able to travel to client sites, as needed
