Dodge & Cox is seeking an experienced, highly skilled technical lead to join our Charles River Development (CRIMS) team. The ideal candidate would have experience in asset management, is technical and comfortable building a technology strategy and is hands‐on. Some of the projects in focus include being the subject matter expert of the platform, partnering and developing relationships with our Fixed Income and compliance teams, providing trading assistance, detecting and resolving incidents and assisting with implementation of Fixed Income and Compliance projects in CRD.
Primary responsibilities include:
Ownership of technology supporting Fixed Income trading processes
Subject Matter Expert of CRD Trading, Portfolio Management, and Compliance system
Collaboration with cross functional teams to advocate for CRD capabilities
Building rapport with the Fixed Income team and serving as their main point of contact
Being a resourceful problem solver with strong communication skills
Owning the technical end-to-end project lifecycle, including scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Communicating strategy and status on various initiatives to management.
Managing roadmap, priorities, and delivery of CRD related projects.
Qualifications
Dodge & Cox targets candidates with successful academic and professional careers and demonstrated leadership ability.
10 years of progressive technical experience in a financial services organization
3 - 5 years Project/Program management experience is highly desirable
Strong working experience with the Fixed Income functionality in CRD
Knowledge of CRD and associated applications like electronic trading platforms, Bloomberg, and Client Reporting
Thorough understanding of Fixed Income data including security master, reference, benchmarks, and characteristics. Deep understanding of Fixed Income markets and processes.
Strong technical communication skills and the ability to work with team members at all levels
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, handle several projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Goal‐oriented team player committed to quality and detail
Enthusiastic, innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
Proven experience in leading technical teams and delivering successful technology projects.
Requirements:
The salary range for this position is $190k - $215k.
The listed pay scale denotes only the pay range of the base salary and does not include discretionary bonus compensation, which may make up an important portion of the total remuneration.
