Salary Range:
$135,000 USD - $150,000 USD

Job Description:
Role Summary:
- As a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager within the Customized Portfolio Solutions team of our Investment Division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies that align with fund objectives and adhere to portfolio guidelines. This position is based in Seattle, and the team works in the office at least 4 days per week.
- The focus of this role will encompass a wide range of US and Global fixed income strategies spanning Corporate, Government, and Inflation Linked assets, in both passive factor and model-driven structures. In this role, you will hold significant investment strategy and trade execution responsibility.
- You will collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, street-side coverage, and IT staff, and serve as a subject matter expert for both internal and external clients in the specific markets mentioned above.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Manage and trade a variety of fixed-income portfolios delivering solid benchmark-relative performance within specific regulatory and client-specific guidelines.
- Work with clients and prospective clients across the North American region to develop and manage bespoke client solutions and support business growth and development efforts.
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of high-quality thought leadership for the broad US market by leveraging research from across Russell Investments and applying it to specific client circumstances or market segments.
- Contribute to group idea generation, strategy formulation, and trade execution. Engagement with Research teams and internal business partners on strategy development and implementation is key.
- Communicate investment strategy and portfolio construction methodologies in a variety of presentation mediums while working with Russell client relationship managers, salespeople, clients, and client advisers
- Implement improvements in group portfolio management processes in the areas of trading practices, portfolio analysis, scenario analysis, and performance reporting.
- Provide input to credit decisions and identification of new security types.
- Prepare reports, presentation materials, and qualitative performance narratives.
- Special projects as identified.
Your Expertise/Requirements:
- 3+ years of Portfolio Management, or equivalent asset management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of short-term capital markets, fixed-income markets, money market funds/securities, economic analysis, and the US regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and Excel.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand and appropriately apply principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.
- Comfortable with evaluating problems via systems thinking, seeing downstream impacts, and identifying future implications across a process so you can offer solutions.
- Comfortable with building trusted relationships with others.
- Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative team player with the ability to interact thoughtfully with others.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of AIM and PORT Bloomberg systems is required.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
- CFA charter holder or progress towards charter.
- Experience in cash/enhanced cash portfolio management.
- Municipal bond market experience preferred
- AXIOMA and other analytic and programming tools preferred.
- Experience with ETF management preferred but not required
