Position Summary
Conning’s Insurance Research group provides solutions that help management teams understand and navigate a rapidly changing insurance landscape. Our well-respected research and consulting solutions result from deep industry knowledge; ongoing surveys of industry executives; proprietary data, forecasts, and models; and our in-depth reviews of insurer performance.
The Data Group within Insurance Research serves to extract, integrate, and manage data used by Insurance Research. The Data Group is central to evaluating and recommending new technologies, including AI, to our organization. In this role, you'll be an Individual Contributor reporting to the Data Group Director and will participate in the Data Group’s initiatives and production.
Responsibilities
- 40% - Data extraction and integration
- 35% - Survey production
- 20% - Data quality and security
- 5% - Evaluating and recommending new technologies

- Providing input on technology related studies
- Writing Insurance Research publications
Requirements
- 0-5 years of experience in related field including insurance company technology operations or technology consulting.
- Demonstrated writing and analytical skills - ability to synthesize, develop and articulate critical conclusions from broad research and source information including insurance financial information.
- Ability to write and produce well-organized reports with supervision.
- Understand insurance company statutory, GAAP financial statements and reporting principles.
- Understand and use technology to analyze industry and company specific data.
- Apply knowledge of insurance products and to understand the role of technology, distribution, customer service, and economic drivers in shaping the business.
- Apply knowledge in several of the following areas: information technologies and analytical techniques, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Dedication to continuing education, such as earning industry certifications.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Management desirable.
- Relevant technology designation desirable.
