Position Summary
Work with Conning IT, business areas and third-party vendors to support, maintain, test, and operate the SimCorp Dimension system and related business applications. Provide IT operations and technical support for batch processing infrastructure, and monitoring of scheduled jobs and processes including rotating on-call support. Maintain release documentation, adhere to DevOps work-item lifecycle best practices and support change management and configuration promotion flow for SimCorp Dimension products. Work on short and long term projects to support business needs.
Identify, design, implement, and support systems solutions. Includes gathering business requirements, developing system specifications, system design and implementation, performing system conversions and upgrades, testing, quality assurance, problem research and /resolution.
Perform configuration and integration tasks utilizing vendor software, and assist with driving business testing for configuration promotion, system patching and software upgrades.
Evaluation, testing, and implementation of vendor products and interfaces to provide business solutions. Work with business teams and system vendors to research and resolve outstanding issues. Follow up on outstanding issues and coordinate corrections and work arounds. Create and maintain accurate system documentation.
Work directly with IT and business partners to evaluate requirements, problem solve, and design solutions.
Work with business units, technology teams and support teams. Ability to coordinate and organize information to maintain flow of information between departments and teams.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Provide on-call PagerDuty support for production systems and interfaces including occasional after-hours work and weekend support for system clones, monthly income forecast processing and other IT work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent work experience acceptable.
- Minimum 3 years business experience.
- Asset management and investment operations knowledge desired.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle RDBMS’s and basic understanding of query languages.
- Experience with Microsoft’s Azure DevOps.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, efficiently prioritize personal workload, and embrace new challenges.
- Must be detail oriented, customer-focused, and intent upon providing quality service.
