The Alternative Investments Operations team is responsible for the day-to-day operations and finance for LAM Alternative business, which oversees approx. $10B in assets supporting 13 global portfolio management teams covering fixed Income, equity, convertible bonds, emerging Markets, private equity, and other alternative investment products.
We are searching for a highly motivated fund accountant that will be responsible for overseeing critical financial operations and reporting for our alternatives investment operations team.
We’ll trust you to:
- Calculate daily, weekly, and monthly estimated performance and NAVs
- Prepare monthly fact sheets, revenue and management reports, as well as reports for auditors and other external reporting entities
- Prepare and review performance fees, attribution reports, financial statements, tax reporting, management fees, and budgeting
- Own the reviewing of accounting agents/administrator reports before issuing final NAVs
- Manage compliance reporting including Form PF, CTA, AIFMD, etc.
- Process invoices and updating expense budgets
- Review semi-annual and annual financial reports and tax reporting.
You’ll need to have:
- 3-5 years of experience in auditing or fund administration, with strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and alternative Investment products
- Proficiency in excel and fund accounting systems; Bloomberg experience is a plus
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (Form PF, CTA, AIFMD, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred (CPA is a plus)

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $95,000-$115,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
