Role Overview:
The Manager of AI Enablement & Adoption will act as the Generative AI (GenAI) subject-matter expert, driving the development, implementation, adoption, and oversight of GenAI technologies across H.I.G. Capital. This individual will establish an AI operating framework, coordinate high-value use cases, train employees on AI tools, and ensure scalable adoption across all teams and functions. Additionally, this role will provide portfolio-level AI initiative updates to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with H.I.G. Capital’s strategic priorities. Please note this role requires you to be in the office 4 days per week.
Role Responsibilities:
AI Strategy & Framework Development
- Partner with key stakeholders and leaders to develop and implement an AI operating framework to guide H.I.G. Capital’s AI initiatives.
- Build organizational AI capabilities by establishing tools, processes, and best practices to standardize and scale AI adoption.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external GenAI vendors to ensure access to cutting-edge AI solutions.
Vendor Management
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage GenAI vendors to meet the needs of various business functions.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Capture internal stakeholder feedback, manage vendor feature requests, and drive continuous AI improvements.
Organizational AI Use Cases
- Collaborate with investment teams, internal accounting, technology, and other departments to implement AI-driven efficiencies, such as predictive analytics, enhanced reporting, and workflow automation
- Manage internal “AI Champions” program to ‘train the trainers’ and identify opportunity areas
- Identify, document, and share successful AI use cases across teams to encourage best practices and innovation.
Adoption, Training & Advocacy
- Design and deliver comprehensive AI training programs to upskill employees across all functions.
- Develop and lead engaging AI training workshops, webinars, and office hours.
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting to ensure seamless AI adoption and implementation.
- Develop and maintain a use case library to document successful AI applications and a prompt library to support efficient AI utilization across teams.
- Serve as an internal AI advocate, ensuring leadership and teams stay informed about emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices.
Executive Reporting
- Quantify and report on GenAI efforts, including Internal and portfolio-level AI use cases
- Report on impact on financials, productivity, and resourcing.
- Deliver regular updates to executive leadership on AI adoption metrics, ROI analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- Provide insights on broader AI-driven opportunities and outcomes across the organization.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in AI/ML, data analytics, program management, or technology roles, with a focus on implementing and scaling technology initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage vendors and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in developing and operationalizing AI frameworks within large, complex organizations.
- Deep understanding and passion for GenAI tools and applications (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, and other leading platforms).
- Understanding of intermediate to advanced GenAI applications (Custom GPTs, etc)
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to define, measure, and communicate the ROI of AI initiatives.
