The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate to join the Citizenship and Belonging team to help deliver our strategy across both programs, which includes Blue Owl Leads Together (BOLT), our employee giving and volunteerism program, Blue Owl Gives, our strategic philanthropy through signature partnerships with nonprofits, Blue Owl Celebrates, our heritage and affinity month campaigns, our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and industry partnerships and sponsorships. The Associate will help design, coordinate, and execute engaging programming that fosters a strong corporate culture and delivers on our commitments to the communities where we live and work.
The ideal candidate will leverage strong event planning expertise to create meaningful employee experiences and manage volunteer and giving initiatives that align with our company’s mission, values, and business objectives. The Associate will also be responsible for promoting awareness and driving engagement through a variety of communication channels internally as well as with the broader community. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about fostering a positive corporate culture.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of employee engagement events, including BOLT volunteer projects, Blue Owl Celebrates guest speaker events, ERG programming, and other employee engagement programming. Coordination includes all aspects of project management, including event logistics, expenses, nonprofit/speaker coordination, vendor management, venue selection, catering, participant tracking, communications, etc.
- Contribute to the creation of clear and compelling communications and materials to drive employee awareness and participation through emails, intranet, presentations, Benevity, FAQs and playbooks, and other channels.
- Work closely with leadership, BOLT captains, BOLT office committees, ERG leadership, and key stakeholders to identify engagement needs and tailor events to specific goals.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee questions about Corporate Sustainability-related benefits, policies, and initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with variety of internal teams central to our goals, including compliance, accounts payable, corporate marketing, HR, facilities, etc.
- Serve as a Benevity administrator with the goal of enhancing employees’ interface experiences as well as program goals through further customization, build-out, and reporting.
- Uphold data integrity and improve data tracking and analytics to support program goals, including attendance, feedback, and success metrics for events, volunteer programs, and initiatives.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations for program improvements based on data insights, employee feedback, and best practices in the field.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, employee engagement, or a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with an acute eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in event management tools and software; familiarity with internal communication platforms and/or Benevity is a plus.
- Knowledge of and desire to deepen learnings around corporate citizenship and belonging best practices.
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $115,000 - $125,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
