Overview
This position performs various functions in the Finance department including but not limited to, SEC financial reporting, internal financial reporting, regulatory reporting, analysis of financial results, and special projects.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements for internal financial reporting.
- Performs analysis of financial variances.
- Assists in the preparation of SEC quarterly and annual financial reporting including the preparation of various financial schedules.
- Manages the posting and content of assigned general ledger accounts, budgets, and other analyses as needed to support the financial function.
- Creates and develops new reports to address management requests for financial information.
- Manages and completes special accounting projects.
- Completes regulatory reporting, i.e., Call Report, FRY9C, etc. in accordance with established time frames and federal rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or a related combination of training and experience.
- 4 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial institution experience.
- Motivated to grow and advance.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in spreadsheet and graphical programs.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team player, able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment with the ability to dive into issues with data to discover root causes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
