Amalgamated Bank is seeking a Manager of IAM to be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's identity and access management systems. This role ensures that only authorized users have appropriate access to sensitive data and applications, while maintaining security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- IAM Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement the organization's IAM strategy and roadmap.
- Evaluate and recommend IAM technologies and solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IAM.
- Access Management:
- Manage user access provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
- Implement and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) and other access control models.
- Ensure compliance with access control policies and procedures.
- Identity Management:
- Oversee the management of user identities and credentials.
- Implement and maintain identity governance and administration (IGA) systems.
- Manage user lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and transfers.
- Authentication and Authorization:
- Ensure secure authentication and authorization for applications and systems.
- Compliance and Security:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments of IAM systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls to protect sensitive data.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of IAM professionals.
- Manage team workloads and priorities.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Collaborate with other IT departments, and business units.
- Reporting and Monitoring:
- Develop and maintain IAM metrics and reports.
- Monitor IAM systems for security incidents and anomalies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on IAM performance.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing IAM systems and processes.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts and technologies (e.g., RBAC, SSO, MFA, PAM, IGA).
- Knowledge of security regulations and standards.
- Experience with IAM vendor solutions (e.g., Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, SailPoint, RSA).
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analyticalskills.
- Experience with scripting languages, and API's.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
- Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions.
- Experience with automation and orchestration of IAM processes.
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $170,000.00 – $180,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
