The
Associate, Commercial Analytics role supports the Commercial Team by assisting in analyses that inform investment and strategic decisions. This includes performing healthcare data analysis, developing automated solutions, and supporting analytical projects under the guidance of senior team members. This position reports to the Commercial Analytics Team leads and collaborates with the Research and Quantitative Research & Strategy Teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market and healthcare analyses (e.g., trend analysis, drug usage tracking) to support investment and business strategies, with guidance from senior team members.
- Clean and organize structured data for analysis, including integrating data from multiple sources (e.g., APIs, databases).
- Develop and implement basic automated solutions for data processing and visualization using Python (knowledge of PySpark strongly preferred) and SQL.
- Assist in tracking and evaluating data quality and coordinating with vendors to maintain high data standards.
- Communicate analysis findings and data insights clearly to team members and stakeholders.
Key Skills And Requirements
- Bachelors degree in biological sciences, pre-medicine, business analytics, data science or a similar field
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a biotech / pharma / healthcare analytics environment.
- Foundational experience in healthcare data analysis, with an understanding of commercial and healthcare data sources.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with a preference for experience in Apache Spark.
- Ability to interpret data trends and present insights in an accessible manner through written reports and basic visualizations.
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate across functions and convey ideas concisely.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities with attention to deadlines and quality.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be curious, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to changing projects and priorities.
