The Investment Operations analyst will work within our Operations department and trained by experienced professionals to build industry knowledge and technical competence, specifically in alternative investments. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the firm, participate and partner with in-house technology buildouts.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with front, middle, and back-office teams to ensure accurate data flow between parties.
- Normalize and standardize data sets from internal and external sources as best practice for the firms’ reporting needs.
- Support trading operations via trade processing, confirmation, and settlement and supporting portfolio management via portfolio reconciliation and reporting.
- Reconcile positions and cash with custodians and fund administrators.
- Coordinate with funds’ transfer agent to validate the processing of shareholder activity including purchases, redemptions, commissions, and dividend issuances.
- Prepare and analyze daily, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting for performance, compliance and audit.
- Facilitate internal and external audits.
- Work with the technology teams on design, testing and implementation for different application modules and reporting solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics background preferred
- 1-5 years’ experience in Finance, Operations and/or other relevant work experience
- Experience working with ledger like Advent Geneva, security Master and or IBOR system preferred
- Knowledge of pricing and valuation of esoteric debt and swaps a plus
- Familiarity with database design and knowledge of SQL a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
