Apollo’s Strategic Finance department is seeking an experienced Director to execute on Apollo Expense Allocation strategy, process, and oversight program. This role is pivotal to advising the firm’s Expense Allocation Committee on existing allocation processes and further progressing the transformation and automation of expense allocations. As a member of the broader Strategic Finance organization, this role is also a key input to the firm’s budget and forecasting processes. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can operate both as a self-starter and as a collaborative partner, particularly with key stakeholders across departments.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure the firm’s allocation process follows existing governing policies and as needed manage enhancements through the appropriate workflow
Manage the firm’s allocation related technology stack with respect to its configuration and drive process automation within the Expense Allocation System (“EAS”)
Utilize available technology is key to the success of this individual and must be configured appropriately to process complexities
Develop and deliver on Key Performance Indicators designed to measure process controls
Provide leadership and advice as a subject matter expert (SME) on new expense management and allocation programs
Analyze variances, trends, risk and opportunities, performance against targets, key business drivers, sensitivities and other ad hoc analysis
Manage budget and forecasting inputs to reflect actual allocation practices across the firm
Deliver actionable, insightful analysis to realize efficiencies, prioritize opportunities and drive decision-making
Provide analysis in support of strategic transaction opportunities
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years’ experience, including at least 2-5 years’ experience in planning, forecasting, and management reporting
Demonstrate experience in process transformation with the use of a technology product
Leadership expertise in managing both direct reports and working in collaboration with other departments
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills required
Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to develop business insights
Flexible, adaptable, and forward-thinking individual
High degree of achievement and interest in helping to drive strategic initiatives and change across an organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range
$190,000 – $250,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
