Responsibilities
Your Role:
- Troubleshoot daily issues that arise regarding market data and with our Company’s proprietary
- Accounting system’s application of that data.
- Analyze and correct anomalies in both vendor provided data as well as customer provided data
- Recognize patterns of issues and create requests to the IT staff for solutions
- Position reports into the Vice President of the group
- Gather requirements from clients for and work with development on projects relating to market and instrument data, particularly new instruments coming to market.Work as liaison for clients with Citco Data Services Helpdesk, the group that actually adds securities to our proprietary accounting system
Qualifications
About You:
- Minimum 4-8 years’ experience in Fund Administration or Brokerage Operations with a strong understanding of both static and variable Market Data
- Have deep understanding of every asset class and understand the intricacies involved and how they function
- Create/maintain custom automation tools using VBA, Perl, SQL, etc.
- Identify bottlenecks and points of issues within existing processes within the team and come up with effective and creative solutions
- Work as a lead liaison between business and development on all market data projects
- Manage and oversee development life cycle of market data related projects
- Review overall QA/UAT process within market data
- Review and approve all BRDs to ensure projects are correctly prioritized and has fully captured all requirements
- Work with development team to migrate existing services to cloud and other platforms
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
- Review all latest offerings by vendors
- Assist in onboarding and integration of new clients
- Manage high tier client relationships relating to all aspects relating to market data
- In depth instrument knowledge in at least one or two areas (e.g. fixed income, equities, derivatives)
- Minimum ‐ but the more breadth of knowledge the better (ideally it would be someone with exotic instrument knowledge)
- Solid experience and understanding of complex financial products (depth of knowledge in several types preferred to breadth of many types)
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, Telekurs, and/or Markit EDM
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and in person
Salary Range: $93,000 - $160,000 USD
