Job Description
Your Role
The Executive Director – Mergers & Acquisitions Lead will support the firm’s global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, driving all aspects of deal origination, execution, and integration planning. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in M&A, strong communication skills, exceptional discretion, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Global Head of Corporate Development to implement and continuously refine the firm's M&A strategy.
- Deal Origination: Identify and assess potential acquisition targets by leveraging industry expertise and professional networks
- Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence processes to assess financial, operational, and strategic fit of potential acquisitions.
- Negotiation: Drive negotiations in close collaboration with Global Head of Corporate Development with target companies, providing analytical insights and strategic recommendations to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
- Integration: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop integration plans that ensure a seamless transition and the realization of synergies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, corporate strategy team, and external advisors to align M&A activities with corporate strategy. Oversee external advisor engagements as required.
- Financial Analysis: Perform comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analysis to inform and support strategic decision-making
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate closely with the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all M&A activities adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements
The Experience You Bring:
- 10+ years of work experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record at a top tier institution required.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD, PhD) and certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) a plus, but not required.
