Job Description Summary
We are seeking a [Nashville, TN] based [Pricing Analyst] to join our [Pricing & Valuations Group] in Global Technology & Operations.
Team Description
The Pricing & Valuations Group supports core functions at AB by providing timely and accurate pricing for all AB managed assets, affecting daily valuation, mutual fund NAVs, trading, performance, and regulatory reporting. The fluid demands from regulators and clients means this space is always evolving and will offer exposure to various parts of the firm, asset types and their respective lifecycles.
Role Description
The Pricing Analyst plays a key role for our firm by shaping the Fair Valuation function and reporting structure within the AB Pricing & Valuations Group. This position yields a dynamic and stimulating environment, while giving hands-on experience working with a wide range of financial instruments within a multi-billion-dollar asset management company. On a daily basis, the Senior Analyst work in a cross-functional capacity to provide pricing solutions that drive AB core functions such as Corporate Actions, Fund Administration, Portfolio Management, Trading, and Performance
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Conduct thorough research on securities and prices to ensure accurate reporting and EOD pricing.
- Evaluate vendor recommendations and challenge them when necessary
- Review pricing exceptions and respond to inquiries from custodians, internal and external auditors, portfolio managers, and regulator
- Collaborate with AB Funds administration and actively participate in Valuation Committee reviews and meetings
- Document daily proceedings from the Valuation Committee meetings.
- Perform ad hoc pricing analyses of portfolios or target portfolios to improve thresholds and other validation metrics
- Update and maintain an internal Fair Value reporting database
- Assist in monthly SEC reporting, technology projects, program initiatives, and regulatory updates
- Hybrid attendance (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
Qualifications, Experience, Education
- Bachelor's Degree (required), preferably in a quantitative field such as Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Finance.
- Ability to think quickly and manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, high degree of integrity
- Fundamental understanding of capital markets and investment instrument mechanics
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively across various audiences.
- Knowledge & interest in multiple asset classes such as fixed income, equities, structured products and derivatives
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism
- Experience in natural language processing and Python is a bonus
