The MetLife Investment Management Marketing (MIM Marketing) team is tasked with collaborating with the Institutional Client Group and investment teams to grow MIM’s third-party asset management business. We also support the marketing efforts of our private asset origination businesses. MIM Marketing is a strategic, client-focused marketing practice that is dedicated to driving business impact in all regions where MIM is offering investment management and private asset origination services. With a focus on client-led value propositions, relevant client engagement and fostering a purpose-driven brand, the team is committed to enhancing MIM’s value add for its clients.
The Opportunity
As our business continues to grow, we have identified the need for a London-based
Institutional Investment Marketing Manager to assist with the delivery of our international marketing program which spans Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Japan. This Institutional Investment Marketing Manager role will be responsible for managing the production of campaign elements and ensuring regular and coordinated campaign content to generate leads and engage prospects, as well as conference planning, sustainability marketing, and thought leadership.
Reporting to the International Marketing Director, this is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative, client-focused and insight-led Marketing team as we further build out our international business.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- With manager guidance, work with internal activation and agile teams to promote fresh new content that captures attention and resonates with our target audience.
- Assist with the delivery of marketing campaigns, targeting institutional investors in our international markets: UK, Benelux, Nordics, Switzerland, Germany & Austria, Middle East, Asia Pacific, Australia, Japan.
- Provide support on sustainability marketing initiatives, including managing new marketing materials, web updates, thought leadership content, sustainability product campaigns and sustainability reporting.
- Ensure regular and coordinated campaign content to generate leads and engage prospects, including localizing content for specific audiences/segments.
- Work closely with local sales directors to support our growth in individual markets.
- Manage the international conference program while supporting client training programs.
What You Need To Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- Relevant years of experience with some/all gained at an asset manager / institutional investment management.
- Experience working with SMEs and other colleagues to deliver new content in an institutional investment context.
- Experience activating offline and online marketing programs in a financial services sector.
- Flexible, collaborative and problem-solving approach to assignments.
- Confident user of data and analytics to generate insights and new campaign initiatives and strategies.
- Understanding of the institutional investment industry as well as public and private capital markets.
- Awareness of ESG and Sustainability.
- Ability to multi-task keeping a number of initiatives moving at the same time.
- Ability to work effectively with people located in different geographies around the world.
What Can Give You An Edge (Additional Skills)
- Success in this position requires establishing relationships with our sales directors, investment teams, IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance and Finance teams, as well as being proactive, collaborative, with attention to detail.
- A preference for candidates with Knowledge of Agile working practices and experience using collaborative tools such as Workfront and Miro.
