OVERVIEW:
This is a key position within Glenmede’s Fiduciary Practices team, a dedicated group in Private Wealth, that supports Glenmede Trust Company Relationship Managers on specialized fiduciary matters, including new business review, fiduciary review and advice, and process and procedure development. The Fiduciary Practices team partners with key areas of the organization such as Legal and Compliance, Information Technology, Project Management and Operations for routine matters and for company initiatives or other projects. Overall, this team applies fiduciary expertise and client service skills to fulfill various key functions that reduce risk, support a superior client experience, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Private Wealth and the Company at large.
The primary function of the Fiduciary Associate is to assist and support fiduciary specialists and to coordinate with Relationship Managers on specialized fiduciary-related matters including new business review coordination, new account onboarding, discretionary action management and process and procedure management. This position acts as a central point of contact and ambassador for the Fiduciary Practices Team among the broader organization. This is a visible role within Glenmede which requires attention to detail, a client service mindset and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
New Business Activity. Review submissions for new business opportunities to ensure that all pertinent documentation has been obtained and advise colleagues when submissions require additional information. Assign fiduciary reviews among members of the Fiduciary Practices team. Coordinate with Client Onboarding Specialists to prepare for anticipated new business submissions. Track and monitor outstanding reviews. Respond to new business inquiries from Business Development and Relationship Management groups. Act as a subject matter expert for Client Services teams with regard to the new business review and approval process.
Discretionary Actions. Coordinate and prioritize the review of discretionary actions by the Fiduciary Practices Committee. Maintain Fiduciary Practices Committee meeting calendars and schedule ad hoc meetings with when appropriate. Review discretionary transactions to confirm accuracy and completeness. Apprise Wealth Advisory colleagues of discretionary actions requiring additional details in order to comply with procedural requirements and track to completion. Prepare minutes and reports for review by the Fiduciary Practices and Fiduciary Oversight Committees.
Other Functions. Oversee the process for reviewing documents related to fiduciary appointments and administration. Monitor Private Wealth procedures based on regulatory requirements or changes in practices and assure they are maintained. Provide additional support for the onboarding and administration of special assets. Serve as a resource for matters related to fiduciary administration. Perform other duties as required by the position and assist with special projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in trust services and administration or a related field required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fundamental knowledge of trust and fiduciary concepts, estate planning and taxation.
- Strong research and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex topics effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients, intermediaries and colleagues across the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly detail-oriented, particularly with fiduciary matters.
