Role Overview
The Business Operations & Strategy Associate is responsible for leading and supporting Workday HCM modules to optimize HR processes and enhance the employee experience. In addition, they will assist with other strategic internal projects as it relates to our systems and related operations across the back and front office operations.
Role Responsibilities
Workday HCM Core & Supporting Modules Administration
- Lead and manage Workday Core HCM as our primary internal subject matter expert.
- Configure and maintain our current Workday HCM modules including Compensation, Talent, and Recruiting, with the future potential of Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
- Support and optimize End-to-End HR processes, including hire-to-retire, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Design and optimize Workday security groups, aligning with compliance and audit requirements.
- Assist in the testing and deployment of Workday updates, ensuring all HR functionalities remain compliant and operational.
- Build and maintain Advanced and Matrix Workday Reports, leveraging calculated fields, dashboards, and custom objects.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations with external HR and Finance systems including EIBS, API connections, Workday Studio, and BIRT Layouts.
- Act as the primary liaison between HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to align Workday solutions with organizational goals.
Workday Advanced Compensation & Compensation Reporting
- Document requirements and support Advanced Compensation implementation, including complex bonus plans, grade profile pay-bands, and merit-based compensation adjustments.
- Optimize Compensation reporting for target and actual compensation with KPI analysis.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Information Systems or Computer Science.
- 3 – 6 years implementing ERP systems, of which three or more implementing Workday HCM.
- Workday HCM Partner Certification preferred.
- Workday Compensation Partner Certification preferred.
- Strategic business consulting experience preferred.
- Ability to configure HCM modules, security roles, and delegation workflows.
- Expert in Advanced and Matrix Reports to create analytics and dashboards.
- Capable of writing complex calculated fields, custom objects, and notifications.
- Expert in EIBs with ability to support Studio and BIRT Layout integrations.
- Understanding of Private Equity business processes preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle competing and multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work through complex issues and challenges and present business stakeholders with clear options for remediation.
- Must be experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint; In Excel, must have ability to create pivot tables, lookups).
Compensation Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year.
