Insight Investment is looking for a Portfolio Accountant to join the Stable Value team in San Francisco. The Portfolio Accountant will be part of a Fixed Income investment accounting team responsible for the asset, cash, and market value reconciliation process on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure all accounting discrepancies with custodians are identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Input cash and other balancing information for assigned accounts
- Account for ongoing investment management activities
- Maintain internal files and records in accordance with department standards
- Provide support for annual audit activities
- Assist with special projects as needed and coordinates communication between the trading desk, trade settlement, custodian banks, and portfolio managers to resolve issues
Experience Required
- BS/BA required with a focus on Accounting or Finance
- Relevant experience within Investment Management is preferred
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, proven ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and familiarity with Microsoft Access
