Description
Monroe Capital is seeking an Analyst to join its Finance and Valuation Group. This role will be responsible for supporting Monroe’s quarterly valuation processes, including liaising with 3rd party valuation firms, Monroe’s underwriting and accounting teams and auditors, organizing these groups to meet desired deliverable timelines. Additionally, this role will support Monroe’s quarterly portfolio reporting for investor relations and senior management and be responsible for assisting in the preparation of materials for Monroe’s valuation committee and various board structures.
Job Responsibilities:
· Assist in the coordination of Monroe’s quarterly valuation process with relevant internal and external parties
· Assist in gathering and disseminating portfolio company financials and other relevant information to 3rd party valuation firms and overall data management
· Review and analyze valuation reports prepared by 3rd party valuation firms
· Support the entire valuation reporting process and oversee revisions to valuation analysis based on feedback from the internal team
· Assist in the development and roll forward of internal valuation models
· Prepare valuation reporting packages to support the needs of our various 20+ private investment funds and public investment vehicles
· Assist in quarterly deliverable tracking, internal valuation model development, presentations to the management team, and completion of ad-hoc deliverables
· Compile and analyze quarterly data and assist with developing fund performance analytics
· Assist with the audit review process
· Create strategic presentation materials
· Maintain an understanding of industry/market trends
Requirements
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
· 1 - 2 years of experience, previous valuation or accounting experience preferred, but will consider candidates with experience in the commercial or corporate banking industry (or a related financial services field)
Preferred Skills/Experience:
· Desire to learn portfolio valuation and interest in private credit
· Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
· Well-organized self-starter with high energy, creativity, and thoughtfulness
· Detail oriented
· Familiarity with financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
· Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Power Point)
· Database design and/or management a plus
· Knowledge of statistics and statistical models a plus
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation will also include a discretionary performance-based annual bonus. Note, the salary range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
