KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide world-class operational support to investor relations, finance, trading, and fund management teams across Bain Capital Public Equity (BCPE).
- Perform all aspects of investment operations, focusing on reconciliation, asset setup, and trade settlement functions for various investment strategies and asset classes, including equities, options, and swaps.
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash and assets with custodians, brokers, and fund administrators. Investigate and resolve cash and position breaks across multiple portfolios to ensure accurate records.
- Responsible for end-to-end trade lifecycle operations, ensuring accurate and timely settlement through daily trade matching and affirmation processes, resolving discrepancies, and addressing trade-related issues efficiently.
- Review daily reporting and controls to maintain the accuracy and integrity of data in internal systems.
- Handle asset setup and the Security Master File process and monitor and process Corporate Actions.
- Build, manage, and enhance relationships with internal clients and external partners, including prime brokers, trading counterparties, administrators, and custodians.
- Collaborate with other operational departments to provide coverage and share product knowledge.
- Continuously analyze, review, and improve the working practices and processes of the Public Equity Operations team.
DESIRED BACKGROUND/EDUCATION
- BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; 3.25 GPA or higher
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience; Trade Settlements or Capital Markets Operations experience preferred
- Experience in Advent Geneva or other investment accounting applications preferred
- Experience with Equity Derivative products (swaps) preferred
- Experience with Bloomberg and other trading and settlement software platforms preferred
- Proficiency in Excel
