Lazard’s North American Sales Strategy and Business Management team is focused on creating leverage and scale within North America Distribution. The team partners closely with Distribution and Investment Teams as well as firm leadership to help drive sales and grow the distribution business. We are looking for a VP to leverage existing investment management knowledge and drive strategic cross-functional initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across Strategy, Operations, Technology, and more, as you lead projects that support the growth of our business.
We’ll trust you to:
- Focus on, and contribute to, the successful launch of new products within Lazard Asset Management’s business
- Contribute to sales processes by identifying opportunities to promote Lazard’s offerings
- Develop insights around pipeline and new business development, business at risk, and noteworthy wins
- Lead complex projects by setting clear objectives, engaging various stakeholders to define parameters around execution, and working across teams to deliver results
- Use various internal and external research tools to conduct analyses to inform sales strategy
- Mentor and work alongside more junior colleagues
- Contribute to presentations and analysis on strategic projects focused on driving sales results
- Contribute to implementation of complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Firm to develop and execute on project plans and timelines.
You’ll need to have:
- At least 4 years of experience within investment management industry, in a relationship management, sales, business development, or strategy role
- A strong understanding of investment strategies
- Strong organizational skills, having contributed to diverse project teams,
- A strong attention to detail
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving roadblocks
- Excellent communication skills, and comfort navigating internal clients with the ability to drive decision making and gain consensus across groups, seniority levels, and interests in a complex global organizational structure.
- The ability to understand different stakeholders’ perspectives, simplify complexity, and provide thoughtful and succinct recommendations to senior leadership
- An inquisitive and analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and synthesize information to challenge assumptions and recommend solutions
- The ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while promoting a positive culture of collaboration and partnership
- Previous exposure to Salesforce is a plus

What we offer:
We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $100,000 – 130,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
