What does a successful VP of Solution Delivery and CIO for Education Loans do at Fiserv?
As a successful VP of Solution Delivery and CIO for the Education Loans group at Fiserv, you will lead and oversee all technical aspects of the Education business. While leading day-to-day operations of client support, application development, programming associates and education specific security operations, you will have a strong influence on our future success. You will be responsible for the security, development and maintenance of existing applications and platforms and more importantly, the strategy for the development of new applications and platforms and migration planning.
What you will do:
- Serve as CIO for the Education division, ensuring technology meets all company and client standards.
- Provide strategic direction and support for client projects, ensuring timely and accurate implementations.
- Promote a culture in which employees proactively address client needs and take decisive actions to provide exceptional service.
- Develop strong relationships with the senior executive teams at each client, aligning our capabilities with client business objectives.
- Ensure alignment with key organizational partners, including executive leadership, sales, marketing, operations, finance, legal, technology operations, cybersecurity and others to ensure aligned portfolio and business success.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency in project methodologies, deliverables, reporting and training, thereby elevating service and delivery capabilities.
- Champion new product/service innovations for value-added offerings that differentiate Fiserv from competitors.
- Develop metrics and measure organizational effectiveness to find opportunities for improvement in the end-to-end client delivery processes.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work and/or military experience.
- 12+ years of experience in financial or technology industries executing technology product delivery.
- 12+ years of experience managing a team, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Per contractual obligations, must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a qualified United States Government security clearance, (e.g., US DOD Secret.)

- Demonstrated experience working directly with C-level leadership.
- New product build and launch experience, managing client version and product upgrades.
- High degree of domain expertise for emerging technologies such as Cloud, APIs / Services, DevOps, CI/CD, Agile Development, Digital Form Factors, (Mobile/Voice), Artificial Intelligence and Analytics.
- Experience working with product management practices and end-to-end product management discipline.
