Purpose and Job Summary:
ORIX USA is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Dallas, Texas office to assist primarily with financial and management reporting, as well as line of business accounting as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with financial and management reporting including reporting to our parent company, stand alone audit, and Audit Committee slides
- Assist in all aspects of accounting and reporting matters for ORIX USA lines of business as assigned. This could include accounting for the following types of assets (but not limited to): debt and equity securities, loans, equity method investments, consolidated investments, etc.
- Coordination and analysis of close process with LOB subsidiaries, Corporate Accounting, and Operations teams
- Coordinate with satellite offices on closing and other accounting/reporting matters
- Ability to work with external and internal auditors on financial service related accounting issues/questions
- Assist with accounting research
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Education, Skills and Experience:
Required:
- 3-5 years of overall accounting and reporting experience
- Advanced experience with using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Familiar with US GAAP technical accounting
- Current or prior experience in regards to participation of timely and accurate reporting and financial statement preparation under US GAAP and for a subsidiary of an SEC registrant a plus
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year university required
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; strong analytical skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines; Ability to adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Preferred:
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Prior experience in public accounting a plus (“Big 4‟ preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant
- Advanced degree
