JOB DESCRIPTION
The Valuation Vice President’s primary role will lead the day-to-day team management including, but not limited to, deliverable tracking, model enhancements, valuation model reviews, and development of junior team members. In addition to valuations, the team is called upon to handle a variety of ad hoc and recurring analyses related to portfolio monitoring and reporting. The VP will also be actively involved in projects and technology initiatives to support a rapidly growing business. An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict time deadlines is essential. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail‐orientated, and able to analyze data and convey conclusions effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the completion of monthly valuation models in line with Antares’s valuation policy as well as requisite external guidance ensuring consistency and accuracy of inputs in collaboration with the investment team.
- Coordinate activities and materials for the Antares Valuation Committee with a focus on identifying and presenting trends and performance drivers relevant to our business
- Provide subject matter expertise to valuation‐related projects, such as regulatory reviews, new business initiatives, and current market practices relating to valuation issues / hot topics
- Assist in the on-going training and development of analysts and associates
- Drive enhancements, leveraging offshore resources and technology, and updates to policies, procedures, processes, and methodologies in line with ASC 820 Fair Value Measurement and industry best practices
- Act as a liaison for external auditors and third-party valuation firms, managing inquiries and maintaining valuation integrity.
- Maintain relationships with core constituencies including Capital Markets, Credit Originations, Marketing, Finance/Operations, and Asset Management teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
- 8+ years of related work experience in valuations, transaction services, a private credit fund, consulting, or other relevant analytical roles exhibiting an in-depth knowledge of key financial metrics, capital structures, and financial statements
- Direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions with a thorough understanding of ASC 820 and corresponding valuation guidance.
- Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‐paced dynamic environment with limited supervision
- Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions
- Effective project management skills with an awareness of internal business controls
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Confidence presenting to large groups of senior leaders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ, and the ability to confidently and competently handle interactions with internal partners/stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required
- Experience with implementation of valuations systems and tools, including PowerBI is a plus
- Finance or accounting designation such as CFA, CPA preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is comprised of several components, including but not limited to applicant's skill, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and the location of the position.
This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance).
