Job Description
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Practice Systems, the Project Manager, Practice Systems is responsible for leading legal technology initiatives that impact the legal practice groups. The Project Manager works closely with all technical and legal teams to research, evaluate, implement,, support, and provide training on new software, applications and databases.
Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:
- Partner with practice group leaders to research emerging legal technology tools and coordinate demonstrations for review.
- Collaborate with various technology teams to set up pilot tests of technology, including obtaining Info Sec approval, and provide access to attorneys and staff to test and evaluate the technology.
- Draft project plans including technology specs, use cases, time lines and resource allocations.
- Liaise with Procurement to produce all necessary documentation including NDA, MSA, term sheets, etc. and manage the execution of the documents with the vendors.
- Work closely with Application Development on the design and function of internally created databases including deal terms, precedent, and financial analysis tools.
- Develop communications and training documentation to apprise firm of rollouts, new initiatives, updates, and product demonstrations.
- Actively contribute to promoting legal technology to practice groups firmwide.
- Oversee QA and testing of applications and tools.
- Oversee and provide direction to Data Analysts.
- Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of the legal work of the practice groups
- Subject matter expertise in user-facing firm technology
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Superior organizational skills and ability to track tasks at a granular level
- Expertise presenting demonstrations and speaking before large groups
- Expertise in all MS Office applications including SharePoint and Excel
- 5+ years’ experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment
Education/Certifications:

Estimated salary range is $140,000 - $160,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
