Insight Investment is looking for a Derivatives Analyst to join the Derivative Operations team in New York. The Investment Operations team at Insight is responsible for Market Operations (Bonds and Cash), Derivative Operations, and Investment Guideline Management. The Derivative team is responsible for oversight of the outsourced back office, collateral dispute management, trade capture, cash management, affirmation & confirmation together with lifecycle events such as novations, allocations, resets, cash flows and accruals.
Role Responsibilities
- Liaise with outsourced operations team to ensure excellent levels of service; overseeing issue resolution related to trade capture, collateral, confirmations, cash reconciliations, margin and ad-hoc queries
- Partner with functional groups internally, including the Derivatives team in London, regarding issue resolution, process management and performing backup responsibilities
- Work with front office members in resolving ad-hoc trading issues, breaks, and coordinating solutions between front office and IT teams
- Production of reports from various systems; both scheduled and ad hoc
- Resolve ad hoc trade lifecycle queries
- Collaborate with client on-boarding teams, front office on setups and transitions
Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree required (emphasis in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics preferred)
- Experience with derivatives including cleared OTC and bilateral OTC, futures, options, IRS, OIS, CDS, TRS, CFDs
- Knowledge of derivative lifecycle events and their downstream impacts - including Novations, Corporate Actions, Fees & Credit Events
- Understanding of OTC Collateral Management including impact of CSA terms and impacts on cash management
- Strong understanding of requirements of the Investment Manager community, including a thorough understanding of the securities processing business and of cash / treasury management
- In-depth experience with transaction processing, securities operations, and financial markets with respect to messaging protocols, operations, and interaction with brokers and custodians
- Knowledge of Trade Order Management Systems
- Exceptional knowledge of MS Excel
