Your role
Are you an Event Management professional? Are you driven by the desire to deliver exceptional event experiences for employees, clients and prospects?
We’re looking for an Event Manager to:
- plan and operate 12-20 signature programs a year
- collaborate with internal and external business partners to translate strategy into execution
- exhibit strong event protocol/process and production knowledge to develop and execute best in class events
- handle hotel/venue site evaluation and final event execution on site
- negotiate hotel/venue/vendor/speaker contracts and task orders
- liaise with hotel/venue on menu selection, rooming list, function space set-up, audio visual, décor etc.
- manage complex budgets
- execute Web-based event nomination, registration development & attendee management
- partner with Creative Services on invitations, announcements, confirmations, etc.
- create staffing plan and manage on-site staff
- compile business results measurement and reporting post-event

- Weehawken: the salary range for this role is $135000 to $175000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team
You'll be working as part of the Field Engagement events team and partnering with groups across the firm to create impactful internal and client facing events. You will play a critical role in helping to train and retain our Financial Advisors as well as help to provide opportunities to Financial Advisors to strengthen their relationships with their clients.
Your expertise
You have:
- 8-10+ years' experience in the Event Management industry – experience in the Financial Industry is a plus
- obtained an undergraduate degree from an accredit institution
- a proven track record in working within an organization supporting high net worth clients and high performing employees
- experience managing ticketing and arena events
- excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), negotiation and leadership skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and web-based registration software
- strong knowledge in event, décor and menu design, event related costing and budget generation
- ability to multi-task programs and projects in a fast-paced environment with short timeframes
- willingness to travel up to 30 percent of the time including occasional nights and weekends
