The position provides operational support to internal and external business partners. As an Investor Services/Operations Associate, responsibilities include a number of operational functions associated with shareholders and investors of the pooled vehicles offered by the firm.
Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to:
- Provide support to internal sales channels assisting with investors’ onboarding events, transitions and terminations
- Assist with oversight of external service providers, primarily the third-party fund administrator
- Interact with the funds’ administrators and platforms related to investor transactions, error resolution and account inquiries
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the vehicle’s policies and procedures
- Interact with legal and compliance on industry regulatory matters
- Assist with cash flow management and ensure timely and accurate flow of information between all parties involved
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:
- Undergraduate degree in finance or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the financial services industry; transfer agency or administrator experience preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of alternative investment products preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated ability to prioritize daily and monthly work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with external vendors and internal business partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, strong Excel skills preferred
