The Opportunity:
As a Senior Analyst, Tax you will serve as a primary preparer of corporate/partnership tax compliance functions and income tax provision calculations. In this role you will also assist the team with other assigned duties and special projects. You must have the ability to communicate effectively and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where priorities often change.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Prepare corporate and partnership book to tax reconciliations
- Prepare corporate and partnership federal, state and local estimated and extension tax payments and coordinate with Treasury to make those payments
- Determine quarterly tax distributions to LLC members
- Prepare state apportionment schedules, apply cost of performance and market-based revenue rules
- Assist with providing tax return compliance information to external tax return service providers
- Prepare and file monthly/quarterly tax returns for sales tax/franchise tax/gross receipts
- Assist with the preparation of tax basis balance sheets and other schedules related to Sec. 743(b) adjustments and tax receivable agreement liability
- Prepare interim and annual ASC 740 tax provisions for U.S. and foreign entities
- Manage calendars to ensure timely completion of U.S. and foreign tax returns and payments
- Manage tax notices and coordinate timely responses with external tax advisors
Your background will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent required
- 3+ years of related corporate and/or partnership tax experience
- Experience with preparation of Forms: 1065, 1120, and states
- Strong working knowledge of the private investment fund industry and technical experience including US tax compliance and ASC 740 tax accounting
- Motivated, team-oriented self-starter who desires a broad range of tax issues and can work effectively and efficiently in an environment with all levels of personnel, adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while effectively managing and prioritizing competing demands.
- Excellent oral and written communications, analytical and organizational skills are required
