The Opportunity:
To support our growing business, we are looking for an experienced attorney with private equity tax experience to join our team in our Suburban Philadelphia headquarters.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Assist with structuring and compliance in international jurisdictions.
- Stay current on changes in foreign and domestic tax laws and regulations, evaluating their impact on fund operations and strategies.
- Manage relationships with third-party tax service providers to ensure smooth and efficient collaboration, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Review and finalize Fund Tax compliance including but not limited to international and domestic tax filings, investor tax reporting, deferred tax liabilities and ASC740 Memo’s prepared by external providers.
- Cover international jurisdictions including but not limited to Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and UK.
- Coordinate with internal/external departments to ensure that tax issues, positions, policies and guidelines are documented and implemented correctly and consistently across all funds.
- Assist with investor requests and inquiries, often collaborating across internal departments including product and sales teams.
Your background will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; Juris Doctor strongly preferred.
- CPA, Master’s in taxation or Tax LLM preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience of accounting, law firm, or relevant in-house position.
- Strong understanding of international tax is preferred.
- Experience with Forms: 1065, 1120, 1120-F, 1120-RIC, 8802
- Experience with private equity investments, technical experience including Evergreen Funds, international tax, regulated investment companies
- Must be self-reliant and able to interface effectively with clients, peers and opposing parties with minimal oversight.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
