Job Purpose
We are seeking a Business Analyst with sound knowledge on Advent Geneva platform, Act as the primary point of contact between Accounting Operations users, Geneva Support, and Development. Leverage your portfolio accounting expertise and Geneva knowledge to facilitate seamless communication and troubleshoot accounting related issues, while also managing system upgrades and portfolio reinitializations
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user and business requirements, ensuring that modifications to existing systems align with strategic objectives.
- Document business and functional requirements using tools such as process models and data models.
- Apply methodologies for gathering requirements to enhance accuracy in development and testing phases.
- Conduct unit and integration testing prior to production releases to identify and resolve Geneva system issues.
- Work closely with Geneva support team in implementing changes, new features and testing
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to refine software development life cycle processes.
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries regarding Geneva and its implementation of the Accounting Life Cycle
- Ensure data products are structured, reusable, and ready for consumption, enhancing the architecture by decoupling data from systems
- Support the Data Lake team with design and implementation of scalable data pipelines.
- Utilize Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, MS Teams, Miro, MS Suites, and SharePoint to manage tasks and workflows.
- Ensure solutions adhere to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Documents projects status, testing plans, procedure and quality control guide
Behavioral Competencies
- 10 years of experience working with the Geneva accounting system
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, accounting, or a related field
- Experience in modeling new financial products for valuation and reporting in Geneva
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex financial instruments, data and transactions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, suport, and operations teams
- Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Experience in the investment management or financial services industry
