Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Capital Markets team to focus on Sustainable Infrastructure financings for Actis. This role will be based in either London (preferred) or New York. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of relevant experience working on infrastructure financings. As a key member of our team, you will help with debt and equity capital markets activities across current Actis portfolio companies and new investments as well as helping to manage overall Actis banking and lending relationships.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring consistency when negotiating debt commitment papers, credit agreements and project financing documentation
- Evaluating banks and financing sources for transactions, assisting with outreach and developing financing alternatives
- Managing the financing diligence process alongside investment teams
- Preparing market analysis and updates for portfolio companies and internal committees
- Tracking banking and lender relationships, projects and funds
- Analyzing existing and prospective portfolio companies to develop capital structure recommendations
- Assisting with portfolio company hedging and FX requirements
- Supporting with Fund guarantees, LOC, etc.
- Portfolio level – lender/debt exposure, covenant monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6-10 years of infrastructure financing experience
- Interest in global markets including developing countries that Actis operates in
- A self-starter with a record of academic success
- A high level of professional maturity and a solid work ethic
- An ability to contribute to a small team in a highly demanding work environment
