Dimensional’s Investment Solutions Group (ISG) acts as a source of specialized investment knowledge that delivers thought leadership, education and analysis to our clients through face-to-face interactions and compelling, informative content.
The Associate Investment Strategist will conduct analysis on a wide range of investment topics to produce high-quality thought-leadership content to support client communications on our research, equity and fixed income products, and portfolio construction. This position will also focus on providing data and analytical support for the broader Investment Solutions Group that includes thought leadership, product specialists, portfolio consulting, investment communications, and product management.
The role will also work collaboratively with our Global Client Group to provide empirical analysis on broad investment and financial market topics as well as bespoke client analytics. This position requires technical proficiency as well as strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop compelling messaging to address questions from and topics of interest to our clients by collecting, organizing and analyzing data from various internal and external databases and programs.
- Interface with client-facing teams to support requests for data and analysis for blogs, videos, live webcasts and events for our clients.
- Partner effectively with stakeholders across external and internal business functions to manage complex requests and generate robust analysis to support business needs.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Dimensional’s investment approach and its implementation across strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on firm and industry product knowledge.
- Identify ways to automate content production and reporting.
- Identify relevant investment trends and aid in the design and maintenance of competitive analysis for various types of client engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, or another quantitative field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related role and a strong understanding of the asset management industry.
- Knowledge of Python, R, SQL or other relevant language.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and comfort with large data sets.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to prioritize and exercise time management.
