POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Specialist will support the organization in ensuring the effective operation and safety of company facilities. This role involves hands-on tasks, coordination with external vendors, and supporting office operations to ensure a comfortable and efficient working environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides daily and continuous support for all of the operations including but not limited to: offices, public spaces, drinking fountains, kitchen, and restroom facilities.
- Performs housekeeping including but not limited to furniture polishing, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, floor cleaning and polishing, emptying of trash cans.
- Perform proper handling of food deliveries, catering and event management including setup and serving.
- Provide general support to ensure the smooth operation of the office, including setting up meeting rooms, managing waste disposal, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Respond promptly to facility-related inquiries and requests from employees.
- Identifies when supplies are needed and reports to supervisor.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Food and beverage ordering, receiving and maintaining.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or technical certification in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in facilities management, hospitality, or a related field.
SKILLS:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on their feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to demonstrate skills and training for proper cleaning and service practices to ensure a safe office environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and team interaction.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
LOCATION and COMPENSATION:
- This role will be based in our NY office.
- This role will be 100% in the office Monday through Friday.
- Base compensation is expected to be $65-75k with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
