OverviewDESCRIPTION:
- Perform financial analysis and valuation process for Bayview Fund’s investments, including structures, whole loans, and private equity and derivatives.
- Evaluate financial data and internal valuation marks against third-party pricing vendors and valuation firms, certify models and valuation methodologies, test for adherence to valuation methodologies, identify and resolve valuation discrepancies, and communicate valuation assessment to senior management.
- Analyze complex financial data and support the monthly Independent Price Verification (IPV) process over Bayview’s global portfolio using external data sources and internal models;
- Assist with daily price checking and monthly pricing feeds from multiple vendors, trade back testing, stale price checks, escalation to senior management, and completion of ad-hoc deliverables;
- Prepare summaries for review with senior management;
- Analyze key valuation drivers and structures, waterfalls, cash flow triggers, loan origination processes, pricing models, servicing, market trends, technical factors, collateral characteristics, and government actions that impact valuation;
- Assist in preparing key schedules for the monthly valuation committee meetings; and
- Utilize Intex for cash flow analysis, valuation, and pricing.
This position allows for a hybrid schedule with three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Finance or Risk Management, or related field plus four (4) years of experience as a Valuation Controller, Valuation Risk Controller, IPV Controller, or related, and experience specifically with each of the following:
- Valuation experience across Securitized Products including CMBS, CLOs, RMBS, and ABS, for cash flow analysis, valuation and pricing
- Excel
- VBA
- ASC820
- Must have two (2) years of experience with INTEX
- Must have three (3) years pricing and valuation experience at an asset management firm, advisory/consulting firm or similar.
This position allows for a hybrid schedule with three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote.
