Company: Investment management firm with $25B+ AUM focused on hedge fund and private equity strategies (The position is a hybrid, 3 days a week in the office)
Head of Cloud Engineering - Responsibilities:
· Lead and mentor a team of platform and DevOps engineers.
· Architect and manage cloud environments (AWS and Azure) for performance, cost
efficiency, and security.
· Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation
frameworks.
· Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform
reliability.
· Collaborate with development and business teams to translate technical and
operational needs into scalable solutions.
· Optimize cloud costs while improving performance and resilience.
· Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and best practices.
Requirements:
· 13+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, with 7+ years in a buyside/financial leadership capacity.
· Strong expertise in AWS Cloud, CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins), and monitoring
platforms (ELK, Datadog, Dynatrace).
· Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and containerization (ECS,
Docker, Fargate).
· Proficiency in Python/Django and related data technologies (SQL, Redis, Kafka,
Elasticsearch).
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
