Title: Investment Associate

Role description:
Evolution Credit Partners is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Associate. This individual will play a key role across the lifecycle of a deal – from origination, underwriting and structuring to execution and portfolio management. With a flexible mandate to deploy capital across our two key investment strategies – Capital Solutions and Working Capital Finance, the Associate will work across a wide array credit instruments and strategies, as well as varying levels of complexity, including stressed and distressed opportunities. Partnering with other members of the investment team, this person will be responsible for the fundamental credit analysis of investments made on behalf of Evolution Credit Partners with a deep emphasis on bottoms-up fundamental research and product specific diligence.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in either public or private market credit opportunities and special situations investing who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are looking to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing, growing platform. The Associate will also be responsible for undertaking additional responsibilities across investing, business development, investor relations, and other strategic activities to support the entrepreneurial nature of the Firm.
The role will entail the following:
- Fundamental Investment Research: conduct deep research on companies, industries, business models to identify key credit considerations and risk-adjusted opportunities.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build detailed financial models and perform robust valuation analysis, credit underwriting, and scenario planning to support investment decisions for our funds across our capital solutions and working capital finance strategies. Assess absolute and relative value across products and capital structures.
- Investment Execution: Work with team members and legal counsel to structure transaction terms, covenants, and security packages. Assist in preparing investment memoranda and preparing findings to senior team members and the Investment Committee.
- Portfolio Management: track performance of existing portfolio companies, competitors, and industry. Maintain detailed financial model and identify emerging risks as well as opportunities for add-on investments and cross-sell opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with company management teams, legal advisors, consultants, and other external parties to facilitate diligence and transaction execution.
Skills, experience and education:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in public or private credit investing, credit opportunities, special situations, private equity, or restructuring.
- Intellectual curiosity, resourceful, and ability to pivot between sectors, instruments and deal types.
- Outstanding analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and in small, collaborative teams.
