Position
The Energy Team is actively seeking an Analyst to join our Houston office. This role offers significant exposure to senior bankers and executive management teams, providing hands-on experience in complex transactions across the energy sector.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and participate in the delivery of client presentations.
- Compile a variety of financial analyses such as valuation, ECM scenarios, and three-statement operational models.
- Analyze business plans and participate in due diligence sessions.
- Draft private and public marketing materials such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-1 filings.
- Participate actively in drafting sessions and transaction execution.
- Engage directly with senior executive management teams of clients and senior bankers at Jefferies.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings, supporting relationship development and deal execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university AND 1+ years of Investment Banking or Equity Research experience covering the Energy sector.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and preparation of detailed company summary reports.
- Residence in Houston or willingness to relocate.
- Resourceful self-starter with ability to work autonomously.
- Demonstrated team player and leader with a strong work ethic.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills; significant valuation experience.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously.
