Job Description
Trust Account Management:
- Serve as the primary contact for clients and their advisors and provide exceptional client service.
- Manage all facets of trust administration:
- Coordinate directions from investment and distribution advisors.
- Oversee tax and compliance filings alongside our tax department.
- Coordinate new investment set-up and asset additions within trust structures.
Business Development
- Play an active role in business development by attending financial, legal, and estate planning industry events.
- Lead the on-boarding process for new trust accounts.
Process Improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, finance or related field (CPA, CFP, or CTFA is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial institution, law firm, accounting, or consulting firm.
- Exceptional understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and estate planning principles.
- Strong communication skills and the willingness to learn the broad range of trust administration and operational / compliance requirements of a directed trust company.
- Client relationship management experience, preferably in a fiduciary capacity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Management experience with direct reports or junior team members is a plus.
